BET International just added a new category to honor artists from around the world therefore making the BET2019 Hip Hop Awards the first to have such category. This would Make Artists from Africa, Europe and Canada to compete for the Best International Flow Category at the BET2019 Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

The category was made from the growing appeal of artists from around the world, where the winner will be announced during the global broadcast on Saturday, October 5 in which Regina Hall is expected to retain her spot as the host.

This year’s nominees for the ‘Best International Flow’ category include some of Africa’s most exciting acts. Which includes globally acclaimed Nigerian rapper and songwriter Falz, South Africa’s wonder kid rapper, songwriter and producer Nasty C. and Ghanaian rap legend Sarkodie rounds up the list of African nominees. They are set to compete with internationally recognized singer-songwriter Tory Lanez (Canada), the lyrically beast Kalash (France) and hip hop artist/grime OG Ghetts, rapper/singer Little Simz whom are both (UK) based.

Alex Okosi, Executive Vice President and Managing Director, BET International and Viacom International Media Networks Africa (VIMN Africa) said: “The award will be presented on-stage during the live broadcast, confirming BET’s commitment to recognizing the influence of international artists globally.”
