Kendrick Lamar ‘good kid, m.A.A.d city‘ has officially passed ‘The Eminem Show’ as the longest charting hip-hop studio album in Billboard 200 history.
Released in 2012, the multiplatinum album from the Grammy and Pulitzer prize-winning rap star with songs like “Swimming Pools (Drank),” the Drake-assisted “Poetic Justice” and “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe”
Kendrick Lamar album has now stayed 358 weeks on the hip hop charts passing Eminem’s record for 357 weeks with “The Eminem Show”. although Although K. Dot’s good kid, m.A.A.d is the current titleholder for longest-charting hip-hop studio album, Slim Shady’s greatest hits compilation Curtain Call: The Hits has spent a little over 100 more weeks on Billboard’s top album chart than good kid with 462 weeks.
Both Dr. Dre protégés have dropped multiple albums that have spent almost two years on the Billboard 200.
